How to get out of this error “Requires installation of untrusted packages”???

Hi,

When I tried to install a package from ubuntu software center I got the error as Requires installation of untrusted packages.

After googling I solved this problem by performing the following steps:

1. click Alt+Ctrl+T.
2. Type sudo apt-get update and click enter.
3. Type your system password and press enter.
4. you will find this line at last  W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net maverick Release: The following signatures couldn’t be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 5A9A06AEF9CB8DB0 or similar to this.
5. similar to the above underlined missing key copy it from your terminal.
6. Type the following command..

sudo apt-key adv –recv-key –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com UUUUUUUUUUUUUU
and replace UUUUUUUUUUUUUUwith the key you copied from your terminal.

EX:sudo apt-key adv –recv-key –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 5A9A06AEF9CB8DB0

7. Now type sudo apt-get update and click enter.

Now enjoy installing packages from ubuntu software center…..Continue learning!!!

How to read tamil fonts in Firefox?

Hi all,

If you are using firefox browser in LINUX, then it is difficult to read tamil fonts present in the website.To make it comfortable

Open your browser and select Tools——>Add-ons—–>Get Add-ons

Type padma in the search text box and press enter

Then click Add to firefox and select install now and restart firefox…That’s it.

If you are Windows user then there is no problem,it is automatically enabled.

Industrial Visit to MYSORE(one day trip)

Hi Friends,

                   Me and my classmates went IV yesterday…Let me share you some of my experiences..

     Morning at 2 a.m we started our journey from college with lot of excitement. After a while, started to enjoy by dancing that too for a short time because it was bored(only few were dancing). Then we watched some comedy videos, Athu Ithu Ethu (downloaded videos), started to sleep. I got up at 5.15,a.m most of them were sleeping except some 7 to 8. What a view outside, bus was fully covered with snow and we reached there near a temple approx at 6.30a.m. After refreshment we just entered into the temple, prayed, took some snaps and came back to bus.

    It was around 9.30 am, travelled to a hotel to have breakfast. I and some of my friends was really very hungry and expecting a lot from that hotel. But the sad thing was the breakfast it bittered for me like anything and I got disappointed, had cool drink and again got into bus. Exactly after half an hour we reached the company. Hardly we spent 15mins in the company and some didn’t visit that too, took some photos for evidence that we visited the company and returned back. After a short time, we reached Mysore Palace. We entered,it was really amazing.The photos, paintings and statues was really awesome.I felt that the statues as alive one.

        We came out of the palace around 1p.m and had great lunch in a high class non-veg hotel. It was totally opposite to breakfast. We spent nearly 2hrs in the hotel itself. The next scene was in dam…we took a group photo there and the group was separated, everyone was roaming somewhere. And finally we got into the bus at 6p.m but actual time we planned was 5.30p.m, so the staff who came with us was very serious, but somehow we managed and started our enjoyment again. Most of them were tired and only some were danced. The unbelievable thing I was one among them who were danced and finally we reached college by today 2am….I’m tired now and feeling sleepy…So Good Night to everyone. Stay tuned!!!!

Inter Departmental Function “VIVERE 2K12″

 Dear Pals,

        Every year  our department  will  organise  three functions…. An intra departmental, inter departmental and National Level Technical Symposium. I’m going to share some events conducted in inter departmental function, today. Morning events such as paper, poster presentation, C-debugging, web designing got over. Afternoon interesting events such as Quiz, Idea Presentation, Sense It was conducted.Let me explain the afternoon events…

Quiz:

             There were three rounds. In First round an ad was played for each team,they have to find the product.In second, the interesting round was similar to a program called Kundaka Mandaka as telecasted in Kodai Fm i.e, the answer for previous question should be answered while asking a question(10 questions were asked).The third was given with a set of questions relating to fields such as Sports,Literature,Geography and science.

Idea Presentation:

              Five teams(3/team) with two rounds.I was one among in second team.In first round we have present our own ideas. Our idea was about the change problem with Conductor-Passenger.To avoid this problem, each passenger need to have an account. They will be given a unique card as like debit card, by using that they may swipe everytime so that, this problem might be avoided. This was the idea presented by us eventhough it had serious disadvantages. Anyway we got selected for the second round.In that,there will be shown a picture(waste product).We have to present an idea making that waste product into a useful one.For us the picture was Empty CD.we told that it is used for decorations,Blah..Blah…….Finally got third prize.

Sense It:

              In first round a animated video was played,they asked five questions from that video.In second round a picture was displayed.We have to point the particular object from that picture asked by them.Then third round, a tamil song was played and the participants need to convert that in English with same modulation.It was also one of the interesting rounds.

 Event For Audience:

        Only one event, Tongue Twister was conducted for audience.

• One is to pronunce the following line for three times..

“கொக்கு நெட்ட கொக்கு

 நெட்ட  கொக்கு   இட்ட

  முட்ட  கட்ட  முட்ட”

• Another one is to pronunce the following line for Five times….

We participated and enjoyed a lot today…..Waiting for National Level Technical Symposium Epoch…
