How to connect internet after connection established???

Open terminal..

Type the following command,

export http_proxy=<proxy address>:<port number>

for  example….

dinesh@dinesh-Infotech:~$ export http_proxy=172.16.42.200:3128

We can also connect without using terrminal…To connect follow these steps:

1)  Go to system—>preferences—>network proxy

2)  A dialog box appers. In that enable manual proxy configuration

3)  Tick mark use the same proxy for all protocols

4)  Enter the HTTP Proxy and port number

5)  Click apply System-wide…

6)  Give local host password and close

That’s it u have successfully connected…….
